Gotthelft - Reise in eine vergessene Vergangenheit

Sybil Morel/Bertha Gotthelft (1892-1942)

Star of the silent era

2022 marked the 130th anniversary of the birth and the 80th anniversary of the death of Sybil Morel/Bertha Gotthelft.

I take the two dates as an occasion to remember Sybil's life, which began in Mannheim and ended in the Chelmno extermination camp.

The e-book in German will be published on 5/1/2024, the versions in English, Italian, and Spanish in the following months.

The volume contains a biography penned by me, a contribution by Ulrike Emigh, the granddaughter of Sybil's husband Ernst Gotthelft, and, as a thank-you for each reader, an extensive encore that is not yet revealed here.

Sybil Morel - Bertha Gotthelft - Bertl Herz - Biografie

The biography will have a length of about 40 to 50 DIN pages. Ulrike describes in her contribution on which really unbelievable way she learned that she is a descendant of the Gotthelfts.

This is the link to the page about Sybil/Bertha. I put the website online on the occasion of the trip I made in July 2022 in the footsteps of Sybil/Bertha to the former ghetto of Łódź and the Chelmno extermination camp.

Oh yes: Sybil and the Gotthelfts are also on
Instagram. The Gotthelfts, Sybil and I are happy about every follower and liker! :-)

If you want to be reminded that the book is coming out, please write me a short message via the contact form.
